When you start a house, a condo, or a renovation, the worry is rarely whether the drawing will look good. It is whether the built result will match it, whether the budget will hold, and who stays responsible when something goes wrong on site.
At Chon Decor we do not think interior work ends with a handsome 3D image. It has to be carried through production, installation and everyday use.

Good interiors start from understanding who will live there
No two clients use a home the same way. Some need a great deal of storage; some want simplicity and easy maintenance; some have small children, others elderly parents; some need a study for daily video calls; some want a kitchen that genuinely gets cooked in rather than one that only photographs well.
So before design begins, we talk about use before style.
A beautiful image matters. But if doors collide when opened, sockets sit in the wrong place, or built-ins fill every wall leaving nowhere to put the things you use daily, the work photographs well and fails in use. Our design team looks for the balance between appearance, budget and real use.
Why we chose to run our own workshop
One question clients rarely think to ask when choosing an interior company: are the people who designed it and the people who build it the same team?
In this industry a drawing is often handed along a chain — designer to contractor, contractor to tradesman, and part of the job out to a separate workshop. When a detail has to change, each party can understand the drawing differently.
We built the design team and the workshop side by side so the step between the drawing and the real object is as short as possible. When production has a question, it goes straight to the designer; when site conditions force a change, coordination happens quickly.
For the client, the benefit is simple: no working out whether a question belongs to the designer, the installer or the factory. It is one team.
Built-ins are not just cabinets filling a wall
Most people picture a wardrobe or a TV unit. In practice built-ins solve a great deal of spatial difficulty, particularly in homes and condos where space is tight. Work we see often includes:

- Storage cabinets
- Wardrobes
- Walk-in closets
- Dressing tables
- Desks
- Shoe cabinets
- Kitchens
- Pantry units
- Display shelving
- Counters
- Office furniture
The important thing is not to think piece by piece. Design a TV unit in isolation and you can miss the air-conditioning position, the sockets, the network point, the speakers, or the viewing distance. Look at the whole room first, then detail each built-in element within it.
Should you set a budget before starting?
Yes. Not an exact figure, but a rough range — because two cabinets of similar size can differ enormously in price. What moves the price includes:

- Surface finish
- Door style
- Glass
- Paintwork
- Handles
- Hinges
- Drawer runners
- Feature lighting
If the design team knows the range from the start, it is far easier to choose the right approach. We would rather not design something striking that has to be cut in half once it is priced; that wastes everyone's time.
Talking about budget early is not about reducing quality. It is about designing for reality.
How the work runs before production starts
Details vary by project type, but our main sequence is:

A site holds detail photographs cannot show — floor levels, walls, columns, lighting points, building restrictions. The material stage matters just as much, since each material brings its own look, price and behaviour in use.
Before closing the job we inspect together, because interior work carries a great many small details that all have to be right.
Pattaya, Sriracha and Rayong each set a different problem
Neighbouring provinces, but quite different projects. Pattaya has homes, condos, holiday properties and units whose owners are rarely there. Sriracha and Bo Win have family houses, executive homes and office space. Pluak Daeng, Nikhom Phatthana and Rayong mix residential work with projects serving the industrial workforce.
What we have learned is not to apply one way of thinking to every project. Some clients weigh design heavily; some need durability above all; some must control the budget closely; some have a tight handover date.
Our job is not to sell the most expensive option, but to help the budget you have go to what benefits the project most.
What to prepare before talking to a designer
You do not need everything ready before contacting us. But these details make the conversation much easier:
- Photos of the space as it is
- A floor plan or dimensions, if you have them
- Reference images of styles you like
- A list of areas you want done
- A rough budget
- Your target move-in date
Do not worry if your reference images are not all one style — most clients send a mix, and that is normal. The designer's job is to read what you actually respond to: the colour tone, the door style, the light, or the overall atmosphere. Then we develop it for your real space.
